Resources for Veteran Students & their Families

Your Atlantic Cape Guide to Support, Benefits, and Connections

From academic advising to mental health resources, this is your starting point for navigating college life as a veteran or military-connected student.

Whether you served recently or years ago, Atlantic Cape is proud to support you and your family on your academic journey. This page brings together helpful resources, dedicated contacts, and essential information to help you succeed in college and beyond.

VA Certification & Credit Evaluation

Each semester, you’ll need to submit a signed VA Transmittal Form to maintain your educational benefits. Our Veterans Services Office can help with:

  • Certification for VA education benefits

  • Credit evaluation for military training

  • Navigating the FAFSA and financial aid process

All students utilizing Veteran Benefits, no matter what Chapter, must complete and submit Veteran Student Academic Advisement Transmittal Form for the specific semester that the benefit will be used, to the School Certifying Official (SCO). The transmittal must be signed by an academic advisor and the student. All signatures MUST be handwritten. Typed or computer-generated signatures cannot be accepted.

The transmittal form allows the SCO to certify veteran education benefits.  Veteran benefit recipients must follow this process to utilize their veteran education benefits. We recommend contacting us as soon as you register for courses.
