Casino Career Institute (CCI)

CCI students train on our mock casino floor. Students are offered dealer and supervisory training in craps, blackjack, poker, baccarat, roulette, pai gow poker, and pai gow tiles. Other training courses available include casino security, surveillance, slot technician and slot attendant.

The Wind Training Facility in Atlantic City

Wind Training Center - Opening 2023

The 1,700-square-foot Wind Training Center facility is the first of its kind in New Jersey and will provide the GWO Basic Safety Training program, which will offer instruction in First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, and Working at Heights.

English As a Second Language Program

Atlantic Cape offers beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of English as a Second Language classes (ESL) for non-native, English-speaking students. Classes include learning activities, audio language lab practice, computer and Internet lab practice, as well as textbook reading and writing assignments. All courses focus on increasing listening, speaking, reading, grammar and writing skills of students.

The Worthington Atlantic City campus features an Information Commons with library, computer lab and tutoring services. This state-of-the-art facility provides a professional librarian for research assistance and fully-equipped computer classroom for Information Literacy Instruction. Assistive technology available for students with disabilities. An extensive book collection features a strong selection of titles.

Nonprofit Resource Centers

The Nonprofit Resource Centers (NRC) at our Atlantic City and Cape May campuses offer FREE access to the Funding Information Network (FIN). The FIN is a suite of online databases from Candid (previously known as the Foundation Center and Guidestar). The FIN offers the most up-to-date information on available grant opportunities and funding history for 140,000+ U.S. and international foundations, corporations and federal agencies.

The Atlantic City Campus was renamed in memory of Atlantic County’s first County Executive, Charles D. Worthington, in April 2001. Mr. Worthington had been involved with the college first as chairperson of its Educational Opportunity Fund Advisory Board and then as Atlantic County Executive, supporting the establishment of many college programs and the development of the Atlantic City Campus. The Caesars Entertainment Wing for Hospitality and Gaming Studies opened in September 2014, representing the largest expansion of the Atlantic City Campus in its 30-year history. The campus includes:

  • 20,000 square feet of multi-purpose space for classrooms and offices
  • Two teaching kitchens for Academy of Culinary Arts classes
  • The Casino Career Institute mock gaming floor
  • A hydroponic greenhouse
  • Health Professions Institute
