NJ Transfer: New Jersey's Comprehensive Statewide Transfer Agreement is designed to allow for seamless transition from public associate to public baccalaureate degree program. Students can access the tools that will enable a seamless transfer from a New Jersey community college to a four-year state college or university. 

NJ Transfer is a statewide initiative of the New Jersey Commission of Higher Education that can help you with the transfer process, including:

• Which courses to select at a community college.
• Course equivalencies with New Jersey four-year colleges.
• Where you can transfer your community college courses in New Jersey.
• How the courses will satisfy four-year degree requirements.
• How to contact a New Jersey college or university if you need information about admissions, financial aid or transfer recruitment events.

NJ Commission of Higher Education Program Inventory: Contains information about approved degree & certificate programs offered by licensed NJ institutions of higher education, as well as a comprehensive listing of degree programs at all New Jersey community colleges.

Campus Tours: Provides a collection of virtual campus tours, searchable alphabetically by name of school or geographically by state.

BestColleges.com: Partners with HigherEducation.com to provide students with connections to schools and programs relating to their educational goals.

Representatives from four-year colleges and universities meet virtually with Atlantic Cape students to share new transfer and enrollment opportunities. Attend a transfer fair if you're interested and learn about majors, housing, clubs and activities, scholarships, research, co-op, travel abroad opportunities, career services, application requirements and deadlines as well as how smoothly your Atlantic Cape degree can be transferred.

To access your unofficial transcript you may use Atlantic Cape Connect via the Self Service card or get assistance in-person at the One-Stop Welcome Center. Bring a valid Atlantic Cape Student photo ID with you to your appointment.

Rutgers at Atlantic Cape

Atlantic Cape Community College and Rutgers University have a conditional dual-admission agreement allowing students who complete an associate degree at Atlantic Cape to enjoy a seamless continuation toward a Bachelor of Science Degree at the Rutgers Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy on the New Brunswick Campus. This agreement includes degrees in Health Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, Planning and Public Policy, and Urban Planning and Design. You may also pursue Health Administration and Public Health at Rutgers at Atlantic Cape on the Mays Landing campus.

Apply for Conditional Dual-Admission

Our agreement with Rutgers University includes a scholarship program exclusive to Atlantic Cape graduates, and enrolling could earn you up to $5,000 in merit scholarships to apply towards your tuition and fees. This program awarded $74,500 in the first year alone!

As a NJ resident, you can save over $10,000 per year full-time at Rutgers compared to what out-of-state students pay for tuition. All applicants to Rutgers University are considered for merit scholarships. There is no separate application, but students who submit an undergraduate admissions application by the priority deadline will receive priority consideration for scholarships.

Additionally, financial aid packages are available for many students. To see if you qualify to receive financial aid, you should complete the FAFSA application online.

Rutgers Scholarships Information

Through our 3+1 partnership with Rutgers University–Camden, you can complete three years at Atlantic Cape and finish your senior year with Rutgers faculty right on our Mays Landing campus. This means you’ll earn a Rutgers bachelor’s degree while paying the lower community college tuition rate for most of your education.

The program is currently available for students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with more options expected in the future. It’s a smart, affordable way to stay close to home and keep your education on track with a well-respected four-year university.

Through the Atlantic Cape-Stockton Transfer Pathways program, you can apply for conditional Transfer Pathways acceptance and plan your transfer ahead of time as you continue working through your associate program at Atlantic Cape.

Upon receiving your associate degree at Atlantic Cape, you will be conditionally accepted at Stockton University, where you'll continue your studies working towards the four-year degree you wish to earn. Note: Credits earned (up to 30) at Stockton may also be applied to an associate degree at Atlantic Cape in a “reverse transfer” agreement.

Transfer Pathways is open to all New Jersey students conditionally accepted through this program. Please be aware that standard in-county and out-of-county tuition rates and stipulations may apply.

Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Health Professions is committed to educating healthcare professionals of the highest quality and ethical standards for contemporary practice in the global community. The College represents inter-professional programs across various health professions and offers natural opportunities for students to develop professional behaviors within a community of learners. The College offers degrees ranging from a bachelor of science through clinical doctorate across many academic departments and programs.

Through this agreement between Atlantic Cape and Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Health Professions, students that successfully submit an application and possess the required academic criteria will be eligible to matriculate into one of four available Jefferson programs:

• Respiratory Therapy, Entry into Practice 2+2 Bachelor of Science (BS) Program - Jefferson will guarantee a seat in this program for five (5) students meeting the minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and are on track to complete the prerequisite course work.
• Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences & Biotechnology Programs in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biotechnology and Cytotechnology - Jefferson will guarantee a seat in one of these programs for students meeting the minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and are on track to complete the prerequisite course work.
• BS (one-year and two-year programs) and Certificate Programs in Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences - Jefferson will guarantee a seat in one of these programs for students meeting the minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and are on track to complete the prerequisite course work.
• The Institute of Emerging Health Professions Accelerated BS Programs in Behavioral & Health Sciences, Health Service Management and Health Studies - Jefferson will guarantee a seat in one of the Accelerated BS Programs for students meeting the minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.

• If you have completed your associate degree or equivalent prerequisite coursework and are admitted into one of Jefferson’s programs, you'll enter the University as a junior.
• Applying to Jefferson through this enrollment partnership agreement makes you, as an Atlantic Cape student, eligible to receive academic advising and course planning with Jefferson Transfer Admission Counselors and waived application fee.
• If you enter one of the above Jefferson programs, you may be eligible for financial aid.

A 3+1 program is a special agreement between a community college and a university, allowing you to complete your junior year at Atlantic Cape's tuition rate and transfer up to 90 credits towards the bachelor's degree you want to earn. 

Our 3+1 program with Stockton University allows you to earn an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Advanced and Continuous Studies. Our program with TESU is open to all associate degree programs, but you will need to speak with an academic advisor to determine the best academic path for you. At Rutgers University, RN's may earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Each degree is different, but classes may be taken online, in-person, remote or hybrid.

Your freshman, sophomore and junior years will be completed at Atlantic Cape, while your senior year will be completed at/through your four-year university.

Each program requires a formal application through our One-Stop Welcome Center. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to speak to your academic advisor first for the best guidance.
