SARA Complaint Process

Student Rights, Behavior & Resolution

Atlantic Cape Community College is dedicated to providing the best possible online student experience. When an issue is brought to our attention we will immediately intervene in the matter to seek a resolution. Most complaints may be resolved utilizing the available internal processes.

Student rights and expectations are described in the Student Code of Conduct.

The Center for Student Success with the Behavioral Assessment Team (BAT) are assigned to review all requests for assistance, violations, or other student-related situations. Each item is evaluated and sent to the appropriate department. Regardless of the issue all students are assigned a Student Advocate (a counselor that will provide support).

The Academy of Culinary Arts and the Nursing and Health Sciences department have additional student codes of conduct and/or ethics for their programs. Please contact the respective department for a copy of their student handbook.

If the grievance involves an issue linked to a College-wide policy, you can find the appropriate information on how to report it on our Student Policies, Procedures and Complaints.

If an issue cannot be resolved internally and you are residing in a SARA state, pursuant to the SARA Complaint Process, please contact the State of New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education.
