“Atlantic Cape gave me the opportunity to feel like I belong to the school and the community. It gave me a space to grow, lead, and explore my academic interests while contributing to others through club leadership as President of the Math Club and tutoring all levels of math of physics.”

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to intern with a real estate company, participate in the Transfer Scholars Initiative at Princeton University this summer, continue my Optional Practical Training (OPT), and then transfer to a four-year university to continue studying math and physics.

Why did you choose Atlantic Cape?

I chose Atlantic Cape because it is close to Sea Isle City and it offered affordable tuition, even for an international student.

What opportunities has Atlantic Cape provided you?

Atlantic Cape gave me the opportunity to feel like I belong to the school and the community. It gave me a space to grow, lead, and explore my academic interests while contributing to others through club leadership and tutoring.

What activities, clubs or sports were you involved with during your time at Atlantic Cape?

I tutored math and physics at all levels, founded and served as President of the Math Club, was an officer and Student Government Association representative for the Engineering Club and was Vice President of Service for Phi Theta Kappa. I also volunteered at stargazing events and participated in many club projects and campus activities.

Describe the biggest challenge(s) you faced and how you overcame it/them.

My biggest challenge was starting college in a new country, in a second language. I had to adapt quickly to a new academic system and to a new culture. At first, it felt overwhelming, but through support from people around me and helping others to learn, I turned that challenge into growth.

Did you attend classes at Atlantic Cape in-person, online, hybrid or remote?

I attended all of my classes at Atlantic Cape in-person.

Who would you like to thank for helping you achieve your college or career goals?

I am grateful to the many people who supported me from faculty members and professors to staff and friends. Their encouragement, belief in my potential and guidance through challenges made everything happen. I’m especially thankful to Dr. Francis Toriello, who helped me discover a deep passion for physics, and encouraged me to dive into it and overcome the fear of the equations.

What does graduating from Atlantic Cape mean to you?

This is a stepping stone in my educational journey in America. It marks the new beginning of everything I thought was out of reach.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about attending Atlantic Cape? Why should they consider Atlantic Cape?

If you’re thinking about attending Atlantic Cape, go for it. There are so many opportunities, clubs and activities here that everyone can find what drives them. Whether you’re passionate about science, leadership, service, or something entirely different, Atlantic Cape will give you resources to build and enhance your community, and the space to discover your path and grow.

What is Your Advice for Future Students?

Follow your curiosity. Don’t be afraid to ask big questions. Talk to your professors, connect with classmates and take opportunities even if they feel intimidating. Growth usually starts where comfort ends.
